It contains stock footage of Uzbekistan, at that time a Soviet republic and today an independent Central Asian country. It was shot mostly in the city of Samarkand: Bibi-Khanym Mosque, markets, Siyob Bazaar, Hotel Camapkaha, Registan Square, and more.
