Archival footage shot by an amateur filmmaker while visiting Switzerland, probably in 1955.
It contains stock footage of Nyon, a city on Lake Geneva: vintage cars parked in front of Nyon Castle, people walking on the boardwalk by the lake, the paddle steamer Lausanne bringing passengers on a sightseeing tour, fishermen fishing from the pier, and more.
Note: The steam engine of the paddle steamer Lausanne (1900–1977) was replaced by a diesel engine in 1949. The diesel engine powered a generator, which then powered an electric motor driving the paddle wheels.
