Calais 1975 archive footage

Archival footage shot by an Austrian filmmaker before or after his English Channel-crossing hovercraft journey in 1975.

It contains stock footage of the hovercraft – called “Sure”, operated by Hoverlloyd and arriving from Ramsgate – stopping at the port and deflating, and cars disembarking from the hold.

The company ended its service in 1981.
