Archival footage shot by an American filmmaker during the Presidential campaign 1968.
It contains stock footage of President Richard Nixon and Mrs. Nixon on a campaign stop In Des Moines, IA on September 14th 1968: crowd with banners, the helicopter arrives with President Nixon, Nixon walks onto the stage and shake hands, President Nixon and his wife Pat take a seat before being cheered on by the crowd while walking up to the Podium, President Nixon talks while flailing his arms around from time to time, and finally gives his famous “V” for victory hand signal before walking off the stage.
There is also footage of news crews as well as Robert Ray, at the time Governor.
I bought the copyright of the footage from the grandson of the filmmaker.
