Archival footage shot by a Venezuelan filmmaker.
It contains unique stock footage of Fidel Castro first state visit as Cuban President in Venezuela in January 1959, a couple weeks after his entry in Havana. The film was shot in Caracas, at the Central University where he met the famous poet Pablo Neruda (also featured in the footage).
There are a few shots outside the University showing other Cuban revolutionary signing autographs. Then Fidel Castro arrives passing through the crowd and get into the University in front of students, along with Venezuelan militaries (including Wolfgang Larrazábal) and Pablo Neruda.
