Archival footage shot by a French filmmaker while spending a few days in Switzerland and French Alps in the summer of 1955.
It contains stock footage of places around Lake Geneva (Lac LĂ©man), a lake shared between France and Switzerland: Nyon castle, sightseeing ships (0:22 – Paddle steamer Lausanne 1900-1977. Its steam engine was replaced by a diesel engine in 1949. The diesel engine powered a generator which then powered an electric motor which drove the paddle wheels), fishermen, people playing sports and relaxing by the river, small boats docking in the port, parks, Jet d’Eau fountain, and more.
