Archival footage shot by an amateur filmmaker while visiting the Alpine lake area in Switzerland in 1967.
It contains stock footage of Lake Geneva (Lac Léman), a lake shared between Switzerland and France: 0:12 – the diesel powered paddle steamer “Italie 1908” (this ship was steam powered from 1908 to 1958 (then they replaced the steam engine with a diesel engine), l’Otage (The Hostage) statue in Quai Grand Rive in Villeneuve (Vaud) – today its arms are both broken off, Chillon Castle (interior and exterior), the city of Montreux, people embarking on the General Guisan ship, and more.
