1970’s in Italy were a decade of changes. In 1970 the deeply Catholic Country proclameted the law on divorce, after debates and a referendum votes that split the population. Also worker’s strikes and terrorist activities dotted the 70s so, at least since 1968, the time of “La Dolce Vita” ended in Rome. At the end of the footage you can see a military parade in Piazza Venezia, a place in the center of the city important because of the Italian National monument (Vittoriano) and because during the fascism Mussolini took is speeches there.
